Occupying the second month of their seasons – Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer – the fixed signs of the Zodiac are Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus and Leo respectively. Focusing energy and solidifying ideas, these signs are responsible for maintaining their individual seasons.
General Qualities, Fixed Signs
The signs least welcoming change, the fixed signs defend; uphold, maintain and preserve traditions and everyday responsibilities, positions and goals/desires.
Hard to distract, they never fail to keep an eye on the road ahead and their hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. Their incredible ability to stay on course is marred only by their predisposition to be (occasionally extremely) stubborn and get stuck in their own, well-preserved ruts. In spite of this, they are, however, valued for their loyal and devoted; patient, consistent and reliable natures.
Prone to holding rather strong opinions, fixed sign natives can sometimes lack flexibility. These traits can, however, occasionally be quite useful and should, in some areas of life, be encouraged. The Fixed Sign Scorpio
Scorpio is a water sign. As such, this sign takes on the role of strengthening feelings and emotions – both their own and those of others – and making them permanent. Their aim is to get those around them to commit to strategies; reach final agreements and move forward. As a result, they usually do extremely well in interpersonal relationships, negotiations and sales.
Working in purposeful ways, Scorpios have a need for control that at times can make them possessive and/or jealous. Whether this turns out to be a charming trait or not depends a great deal on whether they take it to extremes (‘going off the deep end’) or not.
